William “Todd” Arthur, DDS

William “Todd” Arthur, DDS

I am a true native of Roanoke Rapids. I attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where I received a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1993.

After completing my degree at Chapel Hill, I returned to the Roanoke Valley to be close to family and friends. I enjoy seeing familiar faces from the past, as well as, meeting new ones. I am proud to be serving the dental needs of this community where I hope to make a positive impact on those who trust me with their dental care. My wife, Wendy, and I have two children and we enjoy spending time at the lake, beach, and supporting the Tar Heels.

Eric Nicholson, DDS

Eric Nicholson, DDS

I graduated from the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry in 2011. After graduation, I worked for several years in the Raleigh, NC area as an associate in private practice. I relocated to Louisville, KY when my wife, Courtney, enrolled in an orthodontic residency program at the University of Louisville. While in Louisville, I served on faculty at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry.

I am an examiner for the Council of Interstate Testing Agencies (CITA). My role for CITA is to evaluate and grade the work of other dentists who are seeking to become licensed in North Carolina and other states.

Outside of the dental office, I enjoy exercising, playing music, and spending time with family and friends.

I grew up in a small town and am excited to be in Roanoke Rapids, my wife's hometown. I provide high-quality dental care in a friendly environment and look forward to caring for the people of the Roanoke Valley.

Meet Our Caring Team

Tammy – Office Manager

Tammy

Office Manager

I am a lifelong resident of Roanoke Rapids and began my career in healthcare in 1990. I was excited to be offered the opportunity to join this group of amazing people in 1999! My role began as Insurance Analyst and within a few years, was asked to assume the position of Office Manager/Administrator. When I overhear patients raving about the excellent care and service they received or how friendly everyone was, it makes me proud to know I'm a part of such an awesome team. My "home" team is made up of my amazing husband, and a son and a daughter. We enjoy watching movies, going to the beach and listening to music. Our family also enjoys laughing and fellowshipping with family and friends, especially over a good meal!

Sue – Insurance Coordinator

Sue

Insurance Coordinator

My journey in healthcare started in 1984 when I entered the medical field. I switched over into the dental field with this practice in 2005. Dealing with insurance has been my specialty and although the dental arena was a whole different ballgame, I was up for the challenge. My primary job responsibilities include filing insurance, collection of both, patient and insurance, payments and all account follow up, however, you may see me at any front desk position filling in for team members whenever needed. I enjoy my job and those I work with. I also enjoy spending time with my family, eating, and going camping. My husband and I have been married since 1983 and we have 2 children. We also have a 3 precious granddaughters that are everything to their "Ga-Ga."

Beth, Financial Coordinator

Beth

Financial Coordinator

As Financial Coordinator, I'm not always a favorite among the patients – at first. Although I work to ensure our doctors are reimbursed for the services they provide, I also strive to help each patient get the treatment they need and deserve while making sure they get the most out of any dental benefits and discuss a variety of payment options. Since 2004, I have loved working for such kind and gentle doctors! While working, I really enjoy talking with our wonderful patients, getting to know them, and being able to help them with whatever I can. When I am away from the office, I enjoy my time with my amazing husband and two boys!

Kim, Scheduling Coordinator

Shelby

Scheduling Coordinator

I was born in Roanoke Rapids but grew up across "the line" in Emporia. I moved south at an early age and settled in Georgia, where I lived for over 25 years. DAWG fan forever! I moved my family back home in 2011. I have two adult sons who are my pride, joy and greatest accomplishments. My background in front desk and scheduling includes optometry, women's health and now dental. It is likely when you call or come in to Arthur & Nicholson, mine will be the first face you see. My commitment to you is to make each encounter a friendly, positive and respectful experience. I look forward to building lasting relationships as we journey together toward your best possible oral health.

I have been a part of this dental team since 2004. Dental hygiene became my profession of choice, so I attended Wayne Community College and obtained my degree in dental hygiene. Being able to work with the public, help them, and seeing the smiles on their faces is what makes my job so enjoyable. It is great being part of such a friendly atmosphere. I also enjoy helping out at church and I love spending time with my kids. My husband and I have 2 animated little boys and 1 darling little girl.

As a dental hygienist since 1994, I graduated with a Bachelor's of Science degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Go Tarheels! As a member or the Haliwa Saponi Indian Tribe, I wanted to return close to home to work and be near my family and tribal community. Upon graduating, I began working with this awesome group of folks and have been here ever since. My employers, coworkers, and patients have become my extended family. I look forward to seeing them every day and giving back to my community. Health fairs, career days, free dental clinics and teaching dental health in the area schools allow me to do just that. I have 2 lovely daughters of my own and upon getting remarried in 2014, my family has grown so that I now have 5 beautiful daughters!
